Andreea Marin is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Geography, University of Bucharest.

Her main research topics include geomorphology, disaster risk management, cartography, and GIS/RS analysis.

The passion for the academic environment led her to strongly push forward for the first Romanian ICA-OSGeo Lab. She has been an OSGeo Charter member since 2014 and a member of the geo-spatial.org board, the Romanian Local Chapter of OSGeo, since 2017.
