Marcel Török - Oance is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography at the West University of Timișoara, Romania.

He teaches courses in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing (OBIA), and Physical Geography.

His research primarily focuses on mountain environments, addressing topics related to geomorphology, geomorphometry, and remote sensing, as well as spatial analysis applied to ecology.

He is a member of the Romanian Society of Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry, Romanian Association of Geomorphologists, and the International Society for Geomorphometry.

He is the author or co-author of more than 70 scientific papers and book chapters.
