Peter Mooney is currently an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Maynooth University in Ireland. His core research interests are connected to the combination and integration of computational approaches and processes and geographical data and analysis. He has been involved with OSGeo for almost two decades and strongly advocates for the use of FOSS4G both in his teaching and research. Peter has been involved as a member of various organising committees for local, European, and global FOSS4G events over the years.
