The FOSS4G Europe 2026 conference is planned to take place in Timișoara, Romania.

The main conference venue will be the West University of Timișoara (UVT) central building. Additional activities are planned to take place at ICAM.

Planned facilities

• Facilities include modern lecture halls, conference rooms, fast campus-wide WiFi, air conditioning, and wheelchair accessibility.
• Additional rooms for workshops, BoFs, and community sprints are planned.

Capacity

UVT’s Aula Magna has a capacity of more than 450 seats and is planned for plenary sessions. The university also has multiple auditoriums suitable for parallel tracks.

About Timișoara

Timișoara has a long multicultural history and was designated European Cultural Capital for 2023. It is located in western Romania, close to Serbia and Hungary.

Timișoara is a walkable city, with taxis and ride-sharing available.
