In Europe, the travel time ranges between 0.5-3 hours depending on the destination. The most convenient way to reach Timișoara is to fly to the Timișoara Traian Vuia International Airport (TSR), the main aerial hub in Western Romania. Transport facilities include rent-a-car offices within its premises (e.g. Europcar, Sixt, Premium Rent, Thrifty Car Rental, ExpediCAR, Alana, WLC) and many others available en-route to the city). Otherwise, a taxi ride, including popular ride-sharing options (Uber, Bolt), represents a convenient and fast option. Typically, a one-way trip to the airport would be priced at 35-60 RON (7-10 EUR).
For a more economical option, the Express line E4/E4b bus line connects the airport to the city centre. A bus trip generally costs 2.5 RON (0.5 EUR) for a 60-minute ride. Tickets can be purchased with a contactless card, SMS, 24pay or mobilPay app and also as paper tickets from STPT kiosks (paper tickets must be validated on-board).
